Farmer Wyatt

The time had come to plant our garden and Wyatt wanted to help out. I think he was doing more harm than good so it was a good thing that his daddy had already planted most of the garden while he was taking a nap. Wyatt sure did have a good time being a farmer. He took his job seriously and wants to check on his pea plants everyday.
Dig boy!

I can do it just like my Daddy!

One at a time? This is gonna take forever!

Now this is more like it!

The flood waters came...

It has been SO rainy here the last couple weeks and our yard has stayed WET. On one particular rainy day the sun came out and Wyatt begged to go out and play. Being the good mama that I am I stripped him down and sent him out. Here are the action shots. I thought that they were so cute because he didn't care if he was in his Spiderman underwear or not. He was gonna play in that mud and water.

Crawfish Boil

A few weekends ago we had our 2nd annual Super Bulldog Weekend Cawfish Boil. We all had so much fun. Most of the people from last year came and we were joined by some new friends. I didn't get pics of everyone there(I think several people were hiding from the camera) but from these few photos  I hope that you can tell that we all had a good time.

Tracy grilling those tasty wings. They were a hit!

Proud Mama

Tonight while I was driving back to the house from Mama's Wyatt requested that we listen to Pandora on my phone. That isn't unusual and I have it tuned to a children's Christian music station. He knows which songs he likes and he will tell you... "Thats my favorite!"....." I not like that one. Skip it!" Tonight was no different. He wants me to sing them and he sings the key words of the songs with me but not the whole song. One song was different. He blew me away on this one. He sang every word of the first verse and most of the following verses of "I Have Decided To Follow Jesus". I could barely keep it together to sing it with him.I guess it is the music teacher in me coming out but I just love it when my little boy shows his musical tendencies!
He does this a good bit. I will have no idea that he has been paying attention and then he does something "perfectly", his singing is just and example of this.  I guess he gets the whole striving for perfection thing from me.... HA!!

Gone Fishin'

On one of the rare lazy saturdays we have had lately,  Allen took Wyatt to Walmart to buy his first real fishing pole. He was so excited! We loaded up and headed down to our neighborhood pond. The excitement didn't last long. He decided the ducks were much more interesting than waiting on the fish to bite. Good thing his daddy is willing to fish with a Spiderman fishing pole so that his boy can "catch" a fish!
Headed out

Still excited...

Lost interest! Wait, is he petting those ducks?
Catch one Daddy!

Got one!

Guess who came for a visit?

My cousin Amy came for a surprise visit during spring break and she brought her little girl Anna along with her. Amy and I are 9 months apart in age and Wyatt and Anna are 6 months apart in age. Amy currently lives in Missouri so she decided that she had been away from home for too long and needed a visit. Who are we to argue?  We met Allen in West Point for lunch, took the kiddos to Dandy Doodlez to paint some pottery, did a little shopping at Polka Tots, ate frozen yogurt at Local Culture, then headed home to play in the warm sunshine. I didn't bring my camera along so we only got photos of the kids playing when we got back to the house. The kids had a good time playing together and Amy and I had a much needed day to catch up and hang out.

Parker is along for the ride
Looks like they might have a little problem

Abbie, Allen's sister,  had to help get them out of the mud

Zoo Day

During Spring Break last year Allen and I took Wyatt for his first trip to the zoo.We decided to take him to the Memphis Zoo and it did not disappoint. This year we decided to go again. Wyatt was really excited and made it known that he wanted to see the gorillas, zebras, and tigers. He did enjoy the other animals but made it known when he was done and ready to move on. I highly recommended this zoo for a fun day trip. This may become a family tradition for us :)
Heading out to see the Memphis Zoo

After lunch he found a stick and named it his "Poot Gun"

Checking out Wyatt's favorite animal, the zebra.

He liked to giraffe too!

We took a picture with this statue last year so we thought we would take one with it again to see how much he has grown in one year.
Look at this little munchkin from last year!

Don't be fooled by that sweet smile. We had to bribe him for it :)

And here is the result of that bribe.... a train ride around the farm.

Fun in the water at the end of the day.
